The Day Is Finally Here

We get our keys today! Yay! I can't believe how excited I am. I am very much struggling to be at work at the moment. We have probably packed about 75% of the unit and have a moving plan in place. We get the keys at 3pm and will have the car full of curtains, rods and blinds. Jas will start putting those up while I start doing trips moving all of the small and light items from the unit to the house. Thankfully we only live about 5 mins from the house so lots of little trips isn't an issue. We figure if we can get most of the small stuff out of the way tonight it will be easier to move the bigger stuff tomorrow.

The house was pretty much fully repainted yesterday and isn't looking so bad now. There is still some dodgy bits but at this stage any improvement will do. I am planning on fixing the paint myself when we move in. Yes I am serious that I can do a better job. Particularly on our skirting boards. Splashback gets fixed today. Electricians are finishing the kitchen powerpoints when that happens and we should be pretty good to go. 7 hrs and counting. :)

Handover Booked!

Yay! We have handover booked in for 3pm Friday. I was supposed to be in Sydney for a meeting on Friday but hoping my boss will be a little flexible considering the situation. Getting really excited now. Better get packing. :)

Keys This Week?

What a rollercoaster the past two weeks have been. So after PCI on Thursday there hasn't been much happening at the house. The driveway was poured last week which was a massive relief. However not much else has really been addressed. The painters were supposed to come in and repaint last week. Instead they patched a couple of small bits then just went through and took all of the stickers off the walls and pretended they had repainted. These painters are just disgusting. They have no care and obviously no skill. Coral really need to rethink this trade contract. The paint is horrible and they aren't doing the work they are saying they are. The cut in lines are bad enough to make you sea sick. Just wavey and dodgey.

Anyway, at PCI we were told that our contract says they have 1 month to fix anything addressed at PCI but company policy is normally 10 working days. Our SS made a big deal about how he was going to have us in, in 7. So PCI was 11.07.13. 10 working days would be this Thursday. We were also told at PCI that the final invoice would be sent out asap so we could organise a valuer and the cheque to be ready by this date. On Wednesday (nearly a week after PCI) my husband called the SS and asked why we hadn't received the final invoice yet and said he was going to call the accounts department and enquire about it. He was then told not to by the SS. He was told that the SS would call them and sort it out as we had already called. Which we hadn't. Fast forward to yesterday and still no invoice. We were getting rather concerned that the bank wouldn't be able to organise payment with such short notice. At this stage I decided to ignore our SS and call accounts myself. When I did the lovely accounts receivable lady informed me that she had only heard from our SS on Friday that the house was ready for the final invoice to be issued. She did it for me straight away and I managed to send it to our bank at around 10am. The email I received from accounts also mentioned this invoice has been issued before PCI to allow adequate time for finance. Umm think someone dropped the ball on that one.

My husband had spoken to our SS yesterday morning and asked if we were still on track for hand over on Thursday. The response was "if you can get finance organised by then." At 1pm I received a phone call from our bank saying that the cheque would be ready to pick up on Tuesday. Side note - Can't praise the Greater Rutherford Branch enough. They have been fantastic. Thank god we have one business trying to make our life easier. I let Jas know that finance was good to go and he rang the SS to let him know we were right for Thursday. Our SS was rather shocked and unprepared for us to have finance ready so quick. He then asked Jas when we would want to handover then. Jas said "Thursday as discussed." The response was "What! You want to move in this week. I don't know about that." We have issues with our current living arrangements and really need to be moving out this weekend. Jas has rung the SS back after speaking to me about this and the SS has agreed to handover this week and will just have to have things fixed around us. Things that were meant to be fixed by now.

Playing The Waiting Game

So now we are just waiting for everything that was addressed at PCI to get done. I would love to update some pics but there just hasn't been much done to show. My poor husband got up bright and early this morning to meet our concretors on site as they told us they would definately be there by 7. At 7.30 he gave up waiting for them and left. They were supposed to have the formwork done so he could check it and make any changes he wanted. Well the formwork hasn't been started so there goes our only opportunity for that to happen. When Jas rang the SS to speak to him about a different matter (we had some damage overnight) the SS said they probably weren't there because of the rain. Ummm beautiful sunny skies here mate. But apparently because it is raining on the Central Coast it must be raining here. This is starting to explain a lot.

PCI Done - Handover in 2 Weeks!

Handover went a lot better than I was expecting. We arrived to see the concretors working on the driveway. They are hoping to pour it either Tuesday or Wednesday. When we arrived the house was red with dots. We met our SS and he immediately said we have the house repainted. Which is a massive relief. It is the only thing we were completely disapointed with. The rest of the trades have done a pretty good job. While we were there the guy came to cut out holes in the stone for the outdoor sink. Yes our sink has reappeared on site. Apparently the plumber was told it would be a good idea for him to take it with him so it didn't go missing. The plumber didn't do this but his apprentice did. But his apprentice didn't tell anyone and stuck it in a back cupboard in their workshop. So when the SS rang the plumber he knew nothing of it. Anyway, crisis over, we have a sink. Makes a lot more sense than someone stealing a sink. Everything we had concerns about is being fixed. And we are a lot happier now. I am even starting to think that if we had met our new SS weeks ago in person we would have had a very different few weeks. It is very hard to trust someone with your house when you haven't met them face to face. And phone calls are very difficult to understand. I don't know how people with other builders do it. I know a lot of building companies don't even give you the SS number. Let alone a key so you can see the progress yourself. I think I would have had a nervous break down dealing with those kind of companies. Bring on 2 weeks!

Ever Felt Like You Are Being Lied To

At this point our SS well and truly has his pants on fire. We were told when this new guy first took over that our driveway would be poured last Thursday at the latest. Granted we had a few days of rain two weeks ago. Last week was blue skies and sunny weather. When it got to the weekend and still no sign of our driveway my husband called the SS to find out what was happening. He told us that the driveway was booked in for Tuesday, if we would like a path we should meet the concretors on site. We contemplated wether or not we could afford to take the time off work to meet with them and decided not to. Lucky because we had showers throughout the day and there was no sign the concretors had been out there at all. We understand rain delays. Not a problem. However, when we have had a full week of beautiful weather and not a single thing has been touched on the site it gets rather irritating. But our biggest issue is that we believe there is no intention to have concretors out there at all this week. This is mainly due to the fact that we have a full construction bin where the driveway is going. Either the SS is an idiot, has never been to look at the house or he is just plain lying to us and has never booked the concretors.

We have figured out that in the past five weeks the only things that have happened on the house are things that were organised by our past SS before he left. This new SS hasn't organised a single thing for our house. Coral have just completely forgotten about our house. It seems now we have paid them a majority of the money they couldn't care les when they actually finish it. We were hopeful to be in by the end of June. Now the end of August is looking like more of a reality. Although for that to happen something would actually need to be done at all. In the past 5 weeks we have had 4 days worth of work completed on the house. That is being generous. So 5 working days a week (although most tradies work Saturdays) that is a 16% work rate. I don't know what kind of lack of management is going on here because if I just forgot about a project of mine for this long I would be sacked.

At this point I just want Coral to walk away and we can have the house finished in much less time than this guy. We are supposed to being having PCI tomorrow afternoon. We have both taken time off work for it. At this point the house is no where near finished. If we take this time off to see an incomplete house our next PCI will need to be on a weekend. At this point when anyone asks me about the house I am fighting back tears. Not giving Coral a great reputation around here. Both my husband and I are getting sick from the stress. If I wasn't in EOFY I would be taking time off work because I just can't function anymore. The stress is killing me. I am trying not to cry all the time. It is just so heart breaking to be so excited that you are so close to finished and then have your house come to a complete stop. I'm gutted and can't believe that a company can think this is acceptable. We are at the point of trying to figure out what our next step is. Every time we contact the SS we just get another set of lies. We have tried contacting the construction manager in the area. He called us back 4 working days later and just left a message saying "yes your site supervisor has left this is your new one. He said you rang him." Doesn't give me a whole lot of confidence that we are going to get anywhere with him either. If we haven't heard back from either of them today I am going to try calling the head office and see who I can contact above these two.

Bring On The Sunshine

The rain is finally clearing around here. Hopefully this means we can have our driveway poured and be pretty much ready to go. The sunshine has brought with it a bit of work and some communication from our builders. Looks like they are starting to remember the standard of communication and construction we were used to. We went out at about 5.30 yesterday and our carpet layer was still working. The poor fellow said he had about an hour to go. But good news for us is that he was going to have it finished last night. It was looking good and makes the house so much more homely than the concrete. Our water tank has arrived on site. It isn't hooked up yet but at least it is there. That is a start. We also had a quick look for our missing sink in the bin, as we are fairly certain it went missing when the cleaners came in. We are thinking because it would have been light and was in a pile of mess in the garage it might have been thrown out. Seems more plausible than someone stealing a sink anyway. Everything in the bin was a soggy mess so we gave up pretty quick. Our antenna friend will either be out today or tomorrow to put the wall plates in. So that will finish off pretty much every room except the kitchen. The new site supervisor was hopeful to have the glass splashback in at the end of this week but he didn't sound confident. If we could get that in and the driveway this week it will just be the little bits and pieces to finish off next week before PCI. Fingers crossed.

Quiet As Always

Last week saw three things put in. Yep it is pretty disapointing to go out to the house these days. I'm actually at the point where I am trying not to because it is rather upsetting seeing a lack of work done. We have been given a tentative PCI date of Thursday next week. One week after we were initially told we should be in. We are still waiting on a lot of things to arrive and keep getting told they are on back order or the business has gone bust so they need to find another supplier. I think we could finish the house quicker now. Our new site supervisor has just figured out that the sink for the outdoor kitchen has walked off site. Yep one of your tradies walked off with that about 2 or 3 weeks ago. So now he is trying to reorder a new one. Hubby tried to contact the construction supervisor for the area last week. Got voicemail and still haven't heard back from him. Communication has really come crashing down. So has productivity. Pics of the few things that actually got done last week. Yes we actually had tradies out there for two days. Two out of five work days. Good work.

Finally have the bits in between the windows in.

Brickie has been back to put in the steps for the garage. No more milk crates for our shorter tradies.

Kill Me Now

My husband just got in contact with our site supervisor. New person. Yes that is right. Our SS has left Coral and we haven't been told anything. Our house really should have been finished this week. But no. Our new SS doesn't seem to have any idea where we are at. He won't give us a PCI date until the driveway is done. I was under the impression that is the very last thing to be done. Surely he should have this booked in already and be able to give us a tentative date. He is thinking the driveway might happen the end of next week. The scary thing though is that the only thing he could tell us he is about to organise to get done, has already been done. That doesn't really give me any confidence in him. Also the fact that he asked why we were calling him. Ummm maybe for an update on our house that should have been finished this week. And if we hadn't of tried to contact him we would have never known that our SS has changed. And we have also been told that our water tank won't be arriving, as the company has gone bust. The new SS response on this "I will try to find somewhere else." Again not screaming with confidence here. It just really sucks that the wheels have completely fallen off the wagon so close to being in. Oh and apparently our servery top is no longer being fixed. That seems to have been thrown in the too hard basket. 4 weeks ago I would have praised Coral to anyone who would listen. Now people would get the good at some things but....

To Do List in Single Digits

Thankfully we have had some kind of movement at the house over the past 2 days. Not a lot. But some. So now my to do list is down to...
1. Water Tank
2. Outdoor Kitchen
3. Microwave
4. Splashback
5. Powers point on splashback
6. Carpet
7. Driveway
8. TV Points
9. Servery Benchtop

It would be so nice to see the kitchen finished. That would knock off half of the list.

Getting on my last nerve

I think at this point my patience has just completely run out. We were told the carpet would go down yesterday. Went out there. No sign of carpet. Husband spoke to SS this morning. Carpet guys can't make it until 02.07.2013. We were expecting to be all but in at that time. Now we are over a week behind. And now we are going to have yet another week of our house sitting there doing nothing. Last week we had a cupboard screwed onto the deck and some tiles laid. All of which took what 2 days. So there was another 3 days were nothing happened. And now we are looking at another 6 working days of nothing happening. When you are paying rent and a majority of the mortgage this is simply not good enough. Surely if your job is to organise a build you shouldn't have a house with nothing happening for that long. It is just pathetic. Also some sort of communication on this matter would have been great. At this stage we are trying to organise moving as the latest date we have been told all along was 08.07.13. We have lounges arriving on that date. It is the longest we could hold them off. Now we have no where to put them because the SS couldn't pick up the phone and tell us well actually I now have you at least another week behind. We have a landlord we need to inform of when we are moving. But no date makes that rather hard for us to give notice. Also for dates like PCI and handover we need to give our work notice that we will be taking leave. Again no communication on that. I have dead set had enough.

And now I understand why most people say they will never build again. This past month has been horrible. And the longer they take to stuff around the worse it is getting. Not to mention the fact that the house is full of issues. Honestly the paint job is the worst I have ever seen. Me and Dad painted their house and it is 10 times better than the crap job that has been done on our house. And we are an accountant and a draftsman. At this point we would have been better painting the house ourselves. There is bits they have missed on pretty much every wall. Between architraves they have just painted it white because they were too lazy to tape it up and paint it grey. They haven't painted the wall between the laundry tub and the door at all. A lot of the architraves haven't been sanded before they were painted. They are painted gloss white which means you can see every mistake. Our pantry door has chunks of roller in it. It doesn't look like they have taped up anything actually. The cutting in is terrible. There is grey paint on the roof, white paint on the walls and they have stained the woodwork from the door to the roof then painted the panel in between. So we have a cream panel with a stained border. That is just the painters.

Our servery benchtop still hasn't been fixed. This issue was brought up weeks ago. We are still trying to figure out if they are going to finish off under it as well. Because it is definately not staying with the jaggered edge of the mini walls. Two planks were left off the decking. Why? Who knows. When we went out there on Friday night our cement steps for the garage had been delivered. Thrown in a pile of mud at the front of the block. It literally looks like they were just tossed from the truck. My husband had to pick them up and move them closer to the house so no-one wondered off with them. Our garage door has a dint in it. Which the SS was told about when it first went up. Yet nothing has been done about it. One of our internal doors has been split. Our bathrooms are horrible, thanks to the tradies using our toilets instead of the porta-loo. Oh and our block has become a rubbish dumping ground because we are the only house in the street that doesn't have a lock on the site fencing. It now stinks because some idiot decided to put food scraps in our construction bin. Seriously I just want this to be over now. We have had enough. And our 15 weeks. Then 6 weeks tops is fast becoming a no where near it.

And that is just our construction woes. We have also had yet another issue with the idiots in head office. We received a letter with our last bill saying that we had to organise a gas connection so the applicances and hot water could be hooked up. So with much difficulty (run around by gas companies and trying to contact the SS) we organised a gas connection last night. Today when my husband spoke to the SS we were told the gas connection is already set up and we should never have received that letter. Apparently it only applies to QLD. Thanks Coral. We have now been charged a $40 administration fee by the gas company. I was willing to forgive the mistakes if things were getting rectified. But that isn't happening either.

On the positive, here are some pics of the tiles and cupboard. The only things that have been done in way too long.

My List

Because all of this waiting is driving me insane. I have made a list of things I think need to be done before we finish. Although considering I have pretty much zero knowledge of building I am probably missing quite a few things. So the list goes:
1. Bathroom shower screen (yes they only delivered one)
2. Window pieces (We have a bay window at the front that needs to have in between pieces put in)
3. Water Tank
4. BBQ (We have been warned this might be handed to us at handover as they frequently go missing on building sites)
5. Microwave (Same as BBQ)
6. Splashback
7. Power points in splashback
8. Tiling (being done right now)
9. Carpet
10. Flyscreens
11. Driveway
12. Steps in garage
13. Servery benchtop (We have one at the moment but it is horrible. It has been cut way too small and doesn't properly cover what it is sitting on. We are also wondering what is being put under the benchtop to hide the join. It looks really bad atm.)
14. TV points (We are getting these done ourselves. The holes have been cut, the boys just need to come back out and cover them. I would like this done before the bank does their valuation but hubby thinks it is fine. *insert eyeroll*)

So in the grand scheme of things the list isn't massive but it gives me something to cross off. We had a very dispointing moment on Wednesday when we went to the house expecting to see tiles and finding that no-one had been there at all. Thankfully there were some tiles down yesterday. Hopefully this doesn't put us behind. As always we seem to go through a busy week and a quiet week. This week has been rather quiet, which is pretty annoying when we are so close to the end. All that has happened is the outdoor cupboard was installed, a little bit of light cleaning and some tiles. Seems really unproductive compared to last week. I guess that is just part of the joys of building.

Always feels like I'm waiting for a date

It is kind of amazing that it was only a bit over 3 months ago that all I wanted was a start date. Now in what feels like the blink of an eye or eternity (depending what day it is) all I want is an end date. I feel like the whole way along flooring would always be the signal that the build was coming to an end. Today the tiling starts. Monday the carpet goes down. And yet an end date feels so far away. The crazy thing is we have had a fairly dream build, but I still feel so exhausted. I wonder if it is that the process is just emotionally draining or if it is the fact we are at the house every day. Argh I just want that date so I have an end in sight.

On a positive we received our bill from the electrician yesterday and it was a bit less than we were expecting. I think it is the first thing that has come in cheaper than we were expecting in the whole build. One less stress gone. We only have one more tradie bill to go and he is a friend so we aren't expecting anything too shocking.

Feeling a bit like Dorie. "Just keep swimming. Just keep swimming." Rekon I can sleep for the next few weeks. :)

Getting Closer

We have had a pretty full on week at the house. Lots of finishing touches have been put it and the house is all but liveable. It is making it very hard to leave. Plumbing is finished. Electricity is all but finished. We are just waiting for the splashback to be installed so they can finish off the power points in the kitchen. Hot water tank is in. And 90% of the kitchen appliances are in. We are just waiting on the microwave. Although I think the SS said at the beginning that he might just give that to us when we move in so it doesn't get knocked off. All of our door knobs are in and the sliding doors on our cupboards are in. Security alarm has also gone in, as well as the decking in the alfresco area. Really there isn't a whole lot left to go.

There has been a bit of an issue with our servery benchtop. Our SS wasn't happy with it and quite frankly neither were we. We weren't happy with the fact that it wasn't wide enough so the splashback would actually stick out further than the benchtop. The SS also didn't like the join and he could see a bow in it. When we went out last night the benchtop people have been back and it looks like they have just moved it back. Which means the benchtop now doesn't really cover the wall at the front. The SS is going out today to have a look at it.

So excited. Our floor tiles have arrived and are set to go in tomorrow. I can't wait to see them down. It is going to make the house look so different.

Now for some piccies.

Ensuite with shower screen and toilet in.

We are loving our oven and cooktop. It is so big.

Mirror in the bathroom. Yes we are missing a shower screen. Apparently they only delivered one.

Towel rail and bath tapware. Yes it's the little things that make me smile.

Toilet done.

Love our decking.

And our kitchen light. We need to have a play with the lights to figure out where we want them.

Looking Pretty and Painted

After about a week and a half our painting is all done. We are really happy with the colours. We also had our garage door installed and our kitchen benchtops put in. The electrician said he will be in tomorrow. So we are looking forward to seeing things look a bit more finished. It is amazing how much difference it makes having the walls painted though. It is looking very close to finished. Hopefully we will see some flooring in next week which will just make the house look complete. We are still waiting for the panels to finish off the bay windows at the front of the house. We can't wait to see how it will look with those. So close. :)

Front painted and with garage door.

Side all painted. Should see the outdoor kitchen on this side soon.

Our filthy benchtops

We love our kitchen. Can't wait to see it clean.

Love our wall colour.

We are very happy with our colour scheme being continued into our cupboards. Makes for one fancy looking panty. :)

Tiles Done

Well the pain was definately worth it. We love our tiles. Can't wait to see them without white grout all over them.

Ensuite

Loving our vanities with the tiles.

Laundry

Bathroom

Can't wait to see it with paint.

All The Little Things

Last week was pretty quiet at the house. We had skirting and architraves installed. As well as the insides of cupboards. Pretty boring pics but important all the same.

Funny how these two little pieces of wood makes a wall look complete.

Tiles all ready to go on.

Amber has come to the party

Wow. What a difference a phone call makes. Amber has decided that due to the amount of issues we have already had they will meet the $49 that we were initially told. That will make a decent difference to the price.

Tiles continue to make me cranky

Just as we thought our issues were over with the tiles we receive the invoice from Amber. We were told we would be called on Monday if there was excess on the tiles. No phone call. Thursday afternoon we get sent an invoice after the tiles are already on site. The invoice is for just shy of $900. We had compared the costs of tiles between the ones selected at Amber and the ones selected at Beaumont. We knew the ones at Beaumont were $38 per metre and were told the ones selected at Amber were $45 and $49. We were charged about $30 over our allowance at Beaumont so figured we would be up for a few hundred. Although Amber assured us they would do it as cheap as possible for us. The invoice we received has the bathroom tiles that we were quoted at $49 at $76. Ummm big difference there. It wouldn't have even been considered at that price. We have also been told that the $45 tiles are $15 per metre over the allowance. Not sure how that works when it wasn't even close to that with Beaumont. So it appears the choices in tiles are either a company that can't provide or a company that lies about price. And neglects to call when they say they will. Well that is two companies I will never use again. Lucky for any future endeavours there are plenty of other tile companies in the area.

Cruising Along Now

Another week saw a whole lot more done on the house. All of our eaves and above our windows have been put in. We are officially all locked up. Our beautiful big front door was installed. We have cornices and internal doors now. As well as an installed set of kitchen cupboards. The tile saga is hopefully sorted and the tiles should still be arriving on site this week. Hopefully. So fingers crossed that hasn't put us behind too much. Beaumont Tiles couldn't get us anything close to what we wanted but thankfully Coral has allowed us to source the tiles from Amber. Amber were fantastic and have found us some great replacement tiles. The service was fantastic. We had two people helping us at all times.Picture time. :)

Just have painting and the bits between the windows and the house will look finished from the outside.

Waterproofing all done. Ready for the tiler.

We are in love with our cupboards. Couldn't be happier.

Internal doors all done.

Not Happy

Jas just recevied a phone call from Beaumont Tiles to say the wall tile we had selected for the bathroom is discontinued. The whole bathroom was styled around this tile. The worst part is that the tiles are supposed to be on site on Tuesday. We selected the tiles in January and they are only realising 3 working days before the tiles are due on site that they can't get them. Shame on Beaumont Tiles. Also looks like I will be out $110 thanks to them. I have tickets for Saturday that I won't be able to make it to because I have to go reselect tiles. Could not be more furious at the moment.

We have walls!

Last week was a very exciting week for us. The bricks were finished and the walls went up. We can really see what the rooms are going to look like now. Very happy with what we are seeing. The build is really powering along. Last week was 7 weeks since site cut. So we are really impressed with how much has been done in that time.

Fairly Quiet

Last week was a fairly quiet week at the house. Our poor little brickie is still chipping along. We had a chat to him when we were out on Saturday and he is so lovely. Very nice fellow and told us he thought he should be finished on Tuesday. So we are hopeful for today. Although when we went for a look yesterday he still has a lot of fiddly bits to go so we won't be too disappointed if he needs another day. It was nice to hear he is full of praise for our site supervisor. Apparently he has known him for 20 years and thinks he is wonderful. He is also a big advocate for Coral. It is nice to know our tradies think highly of our builder as I'm sure they have seen it all. He has done a fantastic job. We have a lot of difficult edges and he has taken the challenge and is making them look perfect.

Last week we also had our friend come in and run all the TV cables for us. Our bath in the ensuite has been put in and the solar panels have gone up. So I guess things are still happening just not the noticeable stuff. We were really excited yesterday to see that the insulation is 75% in and the gyprock and cornices have arrived. Hopefully we will have walls by the end of the week. We are both really excited to see our tiles go in. So for us walls is just one step closer to that. Neither of us are really sure what steps come next so we are getting lots of surprises at the moment. I am looking up all the Coral blogs and threads to try to get some ideas. From what I can figure out after gyprock is plasterers and then waterfproofing. Then cupboards. Then maybe tiles.

Lucky Coral have such a great construction team because our customer service contact is driving us insane. We are being emailed the invoices for progress payments. That night we sign an authority for the bank and send it on to them. Our bank is then removing the funds from our account within about 4 days and sending a cheque to Coral. By the time the cheque arrives in the Gold Coast we are normally about 1 day over the 7 day payment requirement. Which Coral really should understand considering we haven't even received the invoice in the mail from them by then. However, we still get sent a letter asking for payment. Our bank sends us a copy of the letter they send with the cheque. About a week ago we received a phone call from our customer service lady asking for our address as they have had a letter sent back to them. We have told them the address is wrong about 5 times now. They are sending it to our current street address but the suburb and postcode of our block. So my husband rang her and surprise, surprise she didn't answer her phone. I don't think she has ever answered her phone when we have rang. He left a message with our correct address stating we live at Unit 4 ..... Yesterday we receive another letter about an unpaid invoice. The letter is addressed to Minute 4. Really has anyone ever lived at a minute? Common sense people. Then the letter is dated at 19.04.2013. The copy of the letter from our bank that was sent to them with the cheque was dated 16.04.2013. I understand they probably would have received it the following day in the mail so that is why it was sent the first time. However, wouldn't you check you haven't received the payment before you resent the letter. My husband has then emailed our customer service lady with a copy of the letter that had been sent to Coral and our correct address again, and yet again she is on leave. According to the email responses we have had from her she has had at least 3 or 4 weeks off already this year. We are starting to think we want her job because she is never actually working. She is just impossible to contact and it is quite frustrating.

Anyway back to the good stuff. Here are some piccies from the weekend.

Roof and Bricks

I can't believe how much our house has changed in a week. Last weekend we were really excited to have gutters. This weekend we have a roof, half a house of bricks, plumbing and electrical. The house has really progressed and now we can see some of the colours we have chosen coming together. Loving our bricks and are very happy to see they look good with the roof colour.
